[Gsoc] help

Hello,
I am Namrata Kumari, a final year student who is very keen to work on an open source project this summer.
I have good knowledge of various languages like c, c++ and java.

Kindly help me getting started, for which I shall be highly obliged.
Thankyou.

Re: help

Hi,

Your first step should download and compile scilab.(https://wiki.scilab.org/Compilation%20of%20Scilab)
There is a requerimento for GSOC students, to hack the scilab banner with their names.
Then you should look for one of projects ideas(https://wiki.scilab.org/GSoC_project_proposal),  or propose you own idea for this GSOC.
As part of this process, you need fix some bug(s) preferable one related to your chosen project and write a proposal.
